
OK, I finally got the available rooms bug fixed.
For the longest time, when you changed the availability status (Occupied or Available) of a Domicile (room), you had to then also "touch" that is edit and then save) the Residence in order for the available rooms field to be set correctly. This was a slight pain, and you had to remember to do it every time.
But now you no longer need to remember to do it every time. The fix also accounts for creating new Domiciles as well as deleting existing ones.

I've been needing to upgrade this site for a long time, but several times when I tried things just failed. However, I've finally gotten it updated to the latest code, which should help with some issues.
However, in order to get it to work I had to remove the ability to specify the rent amount separately from the description. This means it isn't showing up in the lists anymore. I plan on adding that capability back, but I want to make sure everything else is working well first.

I just added a new page, the Landlord Handbook, which outlines some of the differences of renting to porcupines.
I hope it proves useful, and saves us all some grief.

I, your fantastic webmaster, have just added the ability to select the period that rent payments are expected on. Landlords may now specify that payments are to be made monthly, weekly, or on a day-to-day basis. If any landlords would like other choices added, please just ask. The default is set to monthly.
[As an aside, the reason this was added is because Little Minnesota has changed over to weekly rents. All the rooms are now listed as being so much per week. Most tenants seem to be paid on a weekly schedule, so making the rent on the same schedule seems appropriate.]

I have made a few changes to the site. I hope they make it better.
The menu that used to be on the left is now gone. It didn't contain much of use to most people. For landlords, the links to create new content have been added to the top of the landlord reference page.
