We just got the basement finished downstairs.  All of the dull looking concrete walls have been painted with a light creme color, while the floor has been painted with an epoxy brown.  The metal supports and even the electrical outlets have been painted, giving the entire downstairs a cared for feel.  The pine wood paneling helps maintain this theme.

 I will also be putting in a unique ceiling solution coupled with my 42" HD plasma screen and a surround sound system for the house.  I will try to post pics as soon as the paint dries.

We've also got the floor finished with a light pudding brown accent, also waterproofing the floor and preventing stains.  With nautical treasures, paintings, and a genuine finished ship's wheel, this is the ideal place for entertainment, temporary stays, or the keeping of pets.  There is also a lot of storage here, and the whole open area is well lit by the outside.
