Can't change room from occupied to unoccupied

Dalebert's picture

I've spent about 20 minutes browsing around and I still haven't figured out how to change the status of a room from "occupied" to "unoccupied".  I read the landlord notes which do not appear to cover it.  They do explain the bug and how I need to edit the domicile afterward so that it updates, but I haven't gotten that far.  They don't explain how to change the status of a room in the first place.

We've made changes

Sorry I've taken so long to reply, but then you know you can always email me directly Dale.

I did finally get this site upgraded, but there were some issues, and some stuff might have gotten messed up.

You should be able to edit the Domicile, and in that you should be able to select the Availability Status as seen in the image. Let me know if you don't see that option.

Okay, I'm not sure if

Okay, I'm not sure if something changed or if I just finally followed the right sequence of clicks to get to it, but I clicked on the room, then the edit tab up top and finally got the dropdown I needed.

DB Messed Up

OK, I had to massage the database, and I found one of the tables had multiple rows where it shouldn't have. I deleted the extra rows and hope I got it right.

I have no idea how the DB could have gotten messed up other than random server goofiness due to a lack of transactions in the DB code way down under the hood.

There is still ambiguity on

There is still ambiguity on Dalebert's occupancy numbers. At the top it says availability 1, at the bottom it says all are occupied:.  http://porcmanor.com/residence/bunker_hill

Fixed, with a solution!

OK, I finally got it figured out. Sort of.

Looking at the data, I noticed that there were several revisions. It struck me that perhaps it was counting more than one revision of a domicile. So I deleted the old revisions, resubmitted the residence (I still gotta fix that) and it now works.

So, the solution/work-around is to delete any old revisions in the domiciles of an incorrectly reporting residence.
