Dear Porcupines,

 My name is Nick Veltre.  I'm American, single, a young and relatively hip 45, grew up in New Jersey.  I came to Australia 4 years ago to help a company called "Ecofibre Industries" set up shop to grow Industrial Hemp in Queensland, where it was made legal in 2004.  I was the Chief Financial Officer and raised over $800,000 in investment for the company.  We grew lots of hemp and are now creating a hemp concrete business.  My work there is finished now, and I do not have another employer to sponsor my visa to continue my stay in Australia.  I'm currently selling everything I own on ebay (check it out!  http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZgekko463) and getting ready to move back to the States.  I've been following the FSP for a while and committed tonight to move to New Hampshire.

Besides my hemp work, I had also been involved in the Drug Policy Forum in Hawaii before coming to Australia and was a card carrying member of the ACLU and the Libertarian Party.  You can Google some of my letters to the editor.  You can also Google my adventures in the hemp trade.

Australia will be kicking me out at the end of May.  I am flying straight to New Hampshire.  I believe Manchester is probably the best place to suit me.  I have financial resources to get me through my first few months in a modest $400-500 month room or share, even without work, will be looking for ANY work the minute I unpack, and would be willing to help out with any of your FSP projects if I have skills to suit (I'm not a computer guy, but am a good writer and researcher, am gregarious, a good salesman and can be persuasive).

I need a room to rent, some friends, and a job.  I’d just like to throw this out there to the Porcupine Universe and see if serendipity strikes.

If you have a room to rent or a share situation within my modest means, we can work  out a deposit before I get there to reserve and I'll have a a better idea of my arrival date (early June) after I meet with the Immigration Office on the 15th of this month.
